About the United States Grand Prix

The United States Grand Prix is held at the Circuit of the Americas outside Austin, Texas, a purpose-built track that hosted its first Formula 1 race in 2012. It runs anti-clockwise and is known for its opening climb: the run from the grid rises steeply to a tight, blind first corner, which makes the start one of the most watched moments of the season. The first sector's fast, flowing esses were inspired by some of the classic sections of European circuits.

Austin is on US Central Time, so the race starts in the Texas afternoon, which is the evening in Europe and Türkiye. Practice and qualifying follow the same pattern and are easy to follow live from Europe. The schedule on this page converts every session to your own local time.
