MatchCountdown (matchcountdown.com) is a sports event countdown service. We show you when your next match starts in your local timezone.

The site is operated by Recete Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17082027, whose registered office is at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. Recete Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

2. Data we collect

We collect minimal data needed to operate the service:

• Usage analytics — pages visited, search queries, and general interaction patterns. Collected via PostHog with IP anonymisation enabled. No personal profiles are created for anonymous visitors.
• Browser preferences — your cookie consent choice and any reminders you set are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and never sent to our servers.
• Log data — our hosting provider (DigitalOcean) records standard server access logs (IP address, request path, timestamp). These are retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging.

We do not collect names, email addresses, or payment information from visitors.
