About the Formula 1 2026

The 2026 Formula 1 World Championship runs over 24 Grand Prix weekends and brings the biggest change to the cars in more than a decade. New regulations introduce power units that draw roughly as much power from the electric motor as from the combustion engine, run on fully sustainable fuel, and come with smaller, lighter cars that use movable aerodynamics on the straights. The grid also grows to eleven teams with the arrival of Cadillac.

A standard weekend has three practice sessions, qualifying on Saturday and the Grand Prix on Sunday; on sprint weekends one practice session is replaced by sprint qualifying and a shorter sprint race. Points go to the top ten in a Grand Prix and the top eight in a sprint. With races from Australia to the Americas, start times swing between early morning and late night in Europe and TΓΌrkiye, so every session on this page is shown in your own time zone.
