About the Mexico City Grand Prix

The Mexico City Grand Prix is raced at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, named after the brothers Ricardo and Pedro Rodríguez, two of Mexico's motorsport pioneers. The circuit sits more than 2,200 metres above sea level, and the thin air shapes the whole weekend: there is less downforce from the wings, less air to cool brakes and engines, and the cars reach some of their highest straight-line speeds of the year on the long run to the first corner. The final sector passes through a former baseball stadium, where the grandstands produce one of the loudest atmospheres on the calendar.

The race starts in the Mexico City afternoon, which is late evening in Europe and Türkiye. Mexico no longer changes its clocks for daylight saving time, so the gap to Europe shifts by an hour when European clocks go back in late October. The countdowns on this page already account for that and show every session in your own time.
