About the Singapore Grand Prix
When it joined the calendar in 2008, the Singapore Grand Prix became Formula 1's first night race. The Marina Bay Street Circuit is laid out on public roads around the waterfront and lit by floodlights, and it is one of the most demanding races of the year: a long sequence of slow, walled corners, very little room for error, and heat and humidity that stay high long after sunset. Safety cars are common here, and the race regularly runs close to F1's two-hour limit.
The Grand Prix itself starts in the evening in Singapore, which puts it in the afternoon for Europe and Türkiye, an easy race to watch live from this side of the world. Because Singapore runs eight hours ahead of UTC, the practice and qualifying sessions also land at friendly times for European viewers. Every session on this page is shown in your own time zone.
