What Time Do La Liga Games Kick Off?
La Liga's kick-off slots in Spanish time and what they mean where you live, measured from every 2026/27 fixture played so far.

The short answer: four weekend slots
Most La Liga matches start at one of four times on Saturday and Sunday: 14:00, 16:15, 18:30 and 21:00 Spanish time. A round is usually spread from Friday night to Monday night, so each slot carries one or two games instead of all ten kicking off together. One match opens the round on Friday at 21:00, and another closes it on Monday, usually at 21:00.
We checked this against the 121 La Liga fixtures in our database from the opening weekend on 15 August to 20 November 2026. More than half of them started in one of the four weekend slots. Ten of the thirteen Friday games kicked off at 21:00.
Midweek rounds and the summer heat
When the calendar needs a midweek round, games run from Tuesday to Thursday, mostly at 19:00 or 19:30 and at 21:00 or 21:30. In 2026/27 that happened in mid-September, between the international break and the busiest stretch of European football.
The summer heat moves the early slots. In August 2026 not one of the 30 La Liga games started before 17:00, and 25 of them started at 19:00 or later. The early slots returned in September (10 of 39 games), and by October the 14:00 lunchtime game was a weekly fixture again.
Kick-off times are not fixed when the fixture list comes out. La Liga confirms dates and times in batches, normally a few weeks before each round, and until then a match sits on a provisional weekend. A countdown that updates itself is safer than a date written down in August.
La Liga kick-off times in your time zone
Spain uses Central European Time: UTC+1 in winter and UTC+2 from the last Sunday of March to the last Sunday of October.
United Kingdom and Ireland: one hour earlier all year, so 13:00, 15:15, 17:30 and 20:00. Türkiye (UTC+3, no daylight saving): two hours later in winter (16:00, 18:15, 20:30, 23:00) and one hour later in summer (15:00, 17:15, 19:30, 22:00).
US Eastern: six hours earlier for most of the year, so 08:00, 10:15, 12:30 and 15:00 ET. For US Pacific, subtract another three hours: 05:00, 07:15, 09:30 and 12:00 PT. India (UTC+5:30): four and a half hours later in winter, which puts the 21:00 game at 01:30 the next morning.
Watch out for the weeks when Europe and the US change their clocks on different dates: Europe in late March and late October, the US in mid-March and early November. For those one to three weeks the gap to the US East Coast is five hours, not six.
How long a La Liga match takes
Plan on about two hours from kick-off to the final whistle. That covers 90 minutes of play, a 15-minute half-time and the stoppage time referees now add more strictly. A game that kicks off at 21:00 usually ends between 22:55 and 23:05 Spanish time. League matches never go to extra time.
